I am a native Chicagoan strongly drawn to art at an early age. Influenced by family to artistic expression, I began cartooning and illustration in my early teens. During art school. (American Academy of Art, 1976), I worked as an animator and illustrator for film and print and also began entering art shows. The director of the Academy, Irv Shapiro, selected one of my portraits to display on Harambee 26, a local television talk show hosted by Bears great Gale Sayers.

I have been a drawing and painting instructor for Leyden Evening School and Triton College (1977-1995) and privately for the last thirty years. Right out of art school I was given the opportunity to teach. My art has brought me into the child’s educational world as a Waldorf class teacher. My Waldorf curriculum poster is displayed in Waldorf schools across the nation. I am a portrait and plein air painter and have taught workshops in portrait painting in watercolor.
