Bob Leopold has lived in the Chicago area all his life. He began painting in 1960 and has been studying ever since. He usually paints with acrylics, but also enjoys Paintpens, charcoal, and markers. Bob is past president of the Glenview Art League and has served on the board of the Art League Alliance.

Now retired, Bob spends many hours each week painting in his rented studio and at his summer home in Michigan. He tries to achieve uniqueness in his work by capturing interesting perspectives and dimensions and by using bold colors and texture.

For a 3-dimensional effect, Bob sometimes outlines the center of interest with a Paintpen on glass. He then separates the glass pane from the canvas. He is also working with textured paper.
